Sandstones are sedimentary rocks made from small grains of the minerals, quartz and feldspar. It is typically the youngest of the quartz-based stones, with each stone having a different level of porosity, hardness and compressive strength.

These stones can be fixed using binding material such as cement or any other synthetic adhesive and are also resistant to most acid and alklies.
